lazy sunday

hello..

well i finished the painting. how it happened was a friend of mine had a canvas and his old housemate painted this hideous flower on it. i used to always bag it our when ever i went round.. so he told me to take it home and repaint it..

thus my painting was born.. im not usually a painter, and if i do i use water colours.. so this was kinda out of my comfort zone.. and it was fun.

anyway i just wanted to share some links to things i like this lovely windy sunday afternoon..

i am loving this print on etsy by one red robin. i really like the woodland creatures, she is so talented.

also if you could please vote for my friend holly here.
she is an awesome gal and this is an amazing opportunity for her, she has made it into the top 10.. now she need public votes to bring her across the link to win.

enjoy your weekend

so many friends.

so i found this little guy the other night as i walked back to my car from the libary at uni. I really love how beautiful this moth is. everyone always loves the butterflies but i think im sold on the moth..
I had a revelation today. I realised im not going to be living on the sunshine coast forever. It is so tempting to get caught up in making a lovely home, buying cute vintage things and collecting crap, but i know i am not called to live a life settled in the one area. I am called to be a nomad, a traveller, not settled.
This is hard, as i sometimes think of how lovely it would be to have a cute little house, with a handsome husband, where i read books, and explore thoughts and do all the creative things i want to do forever. But i know this is not what is planned for my life.
I know i have to live a hard sometimes uncomfortable life, to see change in this world, and hope restored.. and maybe one day i can settle down..
but for now i must focus and learn, enjoy where i at.. but not be settled.. not be content.. never give in to what the world tells me i need.
for now i have my moth..

to live a life of worship

I love how some people have such passion for things that it takes a hold of their whole lives. I love how people can become free from the shackles of contempory life and live a live of worship for our God. I want to find that place of worship here on the coast in my own backyard, and as i search i would love to share with you the psalters.

The psalters are a group of nomadic worshipers who travel the world and worship God in all. They are apart of a movement to redeam songs of slavory and oppression to become a holy joyous praise to God.

This is their mission statement.

“we are the cry of the exodus.
there is no home for us here.
we are a nomadic tribe of psalters,
walking in the footsteps of ancients past
to the far corners of the present,
united as one voice against the
oppression within and without.
one more echo in the eternal song of our
First Love, our Hope, our Pillar of Fire.”

This passion, this zeal, this life really appeals to me.
I often feel so closed up in my life in Australia, with so many constraints of needing to do so much and not having the feedom i feel God deserves of my Life.
I know what i do each day is worshiping Christ through the little decisions i make, to the moments of sharing with others Gods love, but i would love to experience a life like they live. I think it would be such a valuble lesson on worship and loving Jesus with my all.

I miss the YWAM days of passionate prayer, even our 5am prayer sessions at point cartwright. It was amazing..

I dont know if it would ever happen, but by gosh it would be fun, challenging and so valuble.

I pray that the psalters would challenge, and inspire more people globally to find God in where they are, and to worship God in a deeper way.
